Do you find yourself breathless when you want to perform?
We are all educated about the quality and quantity of our nutritional needs but why isn’t anyone talking about the amount of air we should be breathing?
The research and science is out there and we have known for years how humans should breathe for optimal oxogen delivery to the cells and tissues. Many of us due to life circumstances and past experiences are not breathing optimally leading to a whole host of issues.
Is your sleep less optimal than you would like?
We might think that our restless nights are due to our hectic lives or our lack of sleep hygiene. Our busy schedules may play a part in not getting the rest we need but how we breathe at night determines how refreshed we wake up in the morning. The best way to guarantee an optimal nights rest is to restore functional breathing using the Oxygen Advantage Method.
Do you suffer from Anxiety?
80% of people who suffer from anxiety have dysfunctional breathing patterns. Is it the anxiety that causes the dysfunctional breathing pattern or is how we are breathing causing the anxiety? When we restore functional breathing we benefit from a more calm and peace in our lives. With less anxiety we become more calm and focused making our lives easier and more pleasant.
What do clients’ lives look like after working with me using the Oxygen Advantage Method?
After working with me people notice that:
- They are less breathless during physical activity.
- They sleep better at night and feel more energized.
- They suffer less from anxiety and stress.
- Mental clarity and focus and the ability to enter the zone can be achieved on demand.
- Improved athletic performance.
What does the process look like?
The process is guided by the client’s own individual needs. I look at the current state of breathing and introduce exercises to restore functional breathing. For athletes we work with simulation of altitude training to improve endurance and stamina. It is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution. But generally, it involves a combination of simple, short, daily practices and coaching.
The practices won’t take up more than 15-40 minutes of your day and the majority of them can be incorporated into your daily routine.
The coaching element will depend on the amount of support you feel you’ll need and is therefore flexible. I usually suggest that people commit to 3-5 sessions.
